Klickitat High students at area schools

To the Editor:
Klickitat High School has not had a football team for many years, and this year did not field a baseball team because of a low number of kids trying out. For the past several years, the boys in Klickitat who wished to participate in football have played in Lyle, and this spring they were given the opportunity to play baseball at Columbia High School in White Salmon.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Lyle School District, and the White Salmon School District for opening your doors to the boys in Klickitat who wished to play in your programs. I have a student/athlete living with me that played football the past several years for Lyle, and baseball this spring for Columbia High School. He was very happy (as all of the boys were) to have been given a chance to play.
Thank you.
Randy Steindorf
