Original music finds a fertile home here in town
To the Editor:
Over the past few weeks I’ve worked my way door-to-door around our business community, walking in with a sponsorship display, concert schedule, and my desire to bring original singer/songwriter music to the stages of Goldendale. More than 30 of our businesses have gotten behind this endeavor.
I see Goldendale as the Columbia basin’s hub for this type of music. We’ve got a tremendous amount of local and regional talent. Strong built-in venues, a supportive business community, and, most importantly, our appreciative audiences that have attended our shows all help.
Come out, go to community events this spring and summer, and experience for yourself the love, passion, and beauty that are coming to Goldendale.

Why the use of out-of-area business for construction?
To the Editor:
It is a shame that the city doesn’t support our local businesses when they are having major construction projects done. They are bringing in a company from not only out of town but from out of state, to complete a large job on the streets of Goldendale. Many construction businesses have been in this community for many years. You should be ashamed of yourselves. How would you feel if they all took their business elsewhere?
Come on, Goldendale. Use your heads.
