Appreciation for community support

To the Editor:
Thank you, Lou, for your service, and your excellent coverage of Mark’s death. I realize that as a weekly newspaper, you have fewer resources than larger papers, and a deadline is always a deadline. You were also hampered by the fact that the first family member contacted requested that no information be released due to previous incidents of harassment in other areas.
Every member of Mark’s family has been overwhelmed and comforted by the overwhelming support shown after his death. The many cards, letters, hugs, prayers, food, offers of help, filling in at work, and so many other things were so much appreciated.
It was so unexpected and comforting to see the salutes and flags and signs on the way to the cemetery.
The Patriot Guard and police did an awesome job of traffic control and prevention.
There are so many who helped us. We will miss him, but your worldwide support made a huge difference.
