Ruth (Booher) Warner
Ruth (Booher) Warner, 80, of Vancouver, died May 15, 2008, at Cascade Park Care Center in Vancouver.
She was born in Glenwood, Sept. 29, 1927, to Albert and Thelma Booher.
Ruth was born and raised in Glenwood, and attended Glenwood Schools. After graduating high school, Ruth attended beauty college in Yakima.
On Nov. 1, 1947, she married Nate Warner. They were devoted to each other for 58 years when he died in 2006.
In 1958, they moved from White Salmon to Vancouver.
She opened the Charm-R-ette beauty shop in Vancouver and worked there for 31 years until her retirement in 1989.
After their retirement, they spent winters in Quartzsite, Arizona, until health problems forced them to remain in Vancouver.
She was preceeded in daeth by her husband, Nate; parents, Albert and Thelma; brother, Bud Booher; and sister, Isoline Sprague.
Survivors include her sisters, Marie and Roger Vaughn of Monterey, Calif., and Jackie and Mike Templeton of Prineville; and sister-in-law, Janet Booher Williams.
Ruth and Nate never had children of their own, but many nieces and nephews were beloved by them.
At her request, there will be a private family graveside service held in Glenwood, at a later date.
