John Wayne Anderson
John Wayne Anderson, 67, died May 11, 2008.
John was born Sept. 9, 1940, in Wyoming to Ed and Gladys (Pickle) Anderson.
John grew up in Washington and graduated from Central Washington University. He came to California to study at Edwards Air Force in Rosamond then went back to Washington to become a policeman where he was elected sheriff.
John went back to school in Central Washington University to get his teaching credential.
He moved to Wasco, Calif., in 1988, to teach at Thomas Jefferson Middle School where he worked until his retirement.
John was married to his wife Linda Lee (Austill) Anderson for 47 years.
He was an avid motorcyclist and just recently attached a side car to his motorcycle. He loved taking road trips and literature, especially mystery books.
John was preceded in death by his parents Ed and Gladys (Pickle) Anderson.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Lee; sons, Michael, David and wife, Jennie Anderson; brothers, George and Kelly Anderson; sisters, Sandi and Karen Schlangen.
