Ernestine Laura (Pat) Garner

Ernestine Laura (Pat) Garner, 91, of Centerville, died June 9, 2008.
She was born in Pendleton, Dec. 15, 1916, to Alena (Boynton) and LeRoy Sullivan.
Pat lived in Hermiston, as a young girl and in Roseburg, as a teen and later went to business college in Portland.
In 1941, Pat married Henry Garner.
They divorced and she remarried in 1943, this time to Harry L. Schukart.
The couple had two sons, Greg and Terry. After 32 years of marriage, they divorced and Pat married Henry Garner for the second time in 1977.
In 1978, they moved to Centerville.
Pat was a master quilter but she also enjoyed crocheting and sewing. She found a lot of joy in gardening, both vegetables and flowers and was a member of the Centerville Grange.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Robert Sullivan.
Survivors include her husband, Henry of Centerville; sons, Greg Schukart of Beaverton, and Terry Schukart of Palm Desert, Calif.; brother, Alan Sullivan of Roseburg; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A graveside service was held June 12, at the Centerville Cemetery with Pastor Ken Akins officiating.
Columbia Hills Memorial Chapel handled arrangements.
