Norma J. Wildhaber

     Norma Wildhaber, 98, died June 19, 2008.
     She was born Dec. 12, 1909, in Pitt, to Nils and Minnie Berglund.
     Norma graduated from Glenwood High School in 1928, and from Central Washington Normal School in 1930.
     She taught school in Raymond, and Bay Center, before her marriage to Albert J. (Nappy) Wildhaber June 20, 1936, in Portland.
     On Sept. 1, 1942, Albert entered the Army Air Corps at Mather Field in Sacramento, Calif., and Norma traveled throughout the United States with her husband during World War II.
     After the war she taught at Jefferson Elementary School in Tacoma for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert; brothers, Albin and Melvin Berglund; and sister, Emma (Berglund) Johnson.
     Survivors include a niece, Kay Hoodenpyl of Glenwood; nephews, Don Berglund of Seattle and Jim Johnson of Morton.
     Graveside services, open to everyone, will be held on Thursday, June 26, at 1 p.m. at Mt. Adams Cemetery in Glenwood.
     In lieu of flowers, those wishing may contribute to their favorite charity.
