Elva Lucille Guier-Gholston

     Elva Lucille Guier-Gholston, 89, died July 15, 2008, in Aberdeen.
     She was born Feb. 17, 1919, in Star, Idaho, to Richard and Anna Jane Boyles.
     Elva was raised in Eugene, and graduated from high school there in 1937. Elva was first married to Walter Donald Guier in Vancouver, he preceded her in death. She later married Lyle Richard Gholston in The Dalles; he also preceded her in death.
     She had lived in The Dalles, Goldendale, Kennewick and Vancouver before moving to Montesano more than three years ago.
     Elva worked as a medical secretary. She was an avid bingo player, reader, she loved the coast and working with special needs children.
     She was preceded in death by her parents, and six siblings.
     Survivors include her sister, Margaret Elizabeth Patterson; son, Donald Kenneth Guier; daughters, Joyce Marlene Guier, Judith Kathleen Kincaid and Patricia Louise Wilkes; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
     A graveside service was held July 18, at the Centerville Cemetery.
