Erma Geanabeth Vioen
Erma Geanabeth Vioen, 74, of Lyle, died Aug. 18, 2008.
She was born April 12, 1934, in Onida, S. D.
Erma enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting, and making treasured gifts for family and friends. She also enjoyed traveling, visiting family, and getting her daily bouquet of fresh flowers from her husband Fred. She was a gentle genuine person that touched and inspired many lives.
Erma and her husband, Frederick, retired in Klickitat County in 1986 due to ill health. Prior to retirement, she and Fred owned and operated Jean’s Soup and Sandwich Restaurant in Gladstone, for a number of years.
Erma was preceded in death by her parents, Elizabeth Lucinda Weaver and Frederick Weaver; her siblings, George, Earl, Mary, Lester, and Rose.
Survivors include her sister, Florence Marie Sherbahn; four children, Carleen Jaggar, Cathy York, Calvin Jaggar, and Curtis Jaggar; her husband of 27 years Frederick Vioen; 46 grandchildren and great-grandchildren combined.
A celebration of Erma’s life was held at Columbia Hills Memorial Chapel of Goldendale, Aug. 23.
Interment was at Mountain View Cemetery in Goldendale.
