Roy Earl Stockwell
Roy Earl Stockwell, 76, of Goldendale, died Sept. 27, 2008.
Roy was born in Onaway, Idaho, on Aug. 6, 1932, to Laska Genevieve (Baldry) and William Henry Stockwell.
He married Theresa Antonetta Tirocchi in Portland June 2, 1956.
The couple lived in Portland, until 1961, when they moved to Ontario, Calif. Roy worked for the Alpha Beta grocery chain for 20 years and retired in 1987. In 1990, he and his wife settled in Goldendale.
Roy was a jack-of-all-trades, master of a couple. He liked working around his property and enjoyed welding, especially building wrought iron fencing. Along with tinkering with many things, Roy built fire equipment and collected National Geographic magazines.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa of Goldendale; son, Mark Stockwell of Goldendale; daughter Annmarie Dixon of Tacoma; brothers, Ray Stockwell of Clovis, Calif.; Stanley Stockwell of Collingston, Utah and Danny Stockwell of Fruitland, Idaho; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A funeral service will be held Oct. 2, at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Goldendale.
