Orrin Dale Anderson
Orrin Dale Anderson, 78, of Goldendale, passed away on Nov. 16, 2008, at the Oregon Veterans Home in The Dalles.
He was born March 23, 1930, in Ellendale, N.D. He was one of six children born to a farming family where he learned the virtues of hard work and love of family and country.
Orrin served his country as a Marine during the Korean conflict with an airwing detachment.
His enjoyment of motorcycles led to his finding a pretty, female motorcycle enthusiast whom he married. Their years together started with a honeymoon on their Harley.
After his tour of service, Orrin worked in Hollywood, Calif., helping celebrities relocate their assets. During this time he also studied electronics in the evening and then went to work solving electronic problems for RCA.
Orrin and his wife retired to Goldendale where he went to work volunteer driving for Klickitat County Senior Services. He also took a second job working at Brooks Memorial Park.
Orrin is survived by his wife of 53 years, Frankie Anderson, of Goldendale; two sons, Michael and Gary; and one grandson, Joshua, who is currently serving in uniform as a helicopter pilot.
Much gratitude is given to the folks at Klickitat Valley Hospital and the Oregon Veterans Home who provided such wonderful care in his final weeks.
No public services are planned.
