Jerry Lee Mills
Jerry Lee Mills, 70, of Goldendale, died at his home in Goldendale, on Jan. 1, 2009.
He was born to Coy Emery Mills and Geneva May Virginia (Grice) Mills in Miami, Oklahoma in February of 1938.
Jerry spent his younger years in Oklahoma but moved to Yakima in 1951, graduating from Yakima High School in 1955. He served in the United States Navy. In 1960, he married Patricia Jane Sagaser in Seattle. Jerry worked at Boeing for 38 years, traveling the country working with the Minute Men Project and AWACs. In 1997, Jerry retired and he and his wife Pat, moved to Goldendale in 2000. Jerry was a member of the Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree.
Survivors include his wife, Pat Mills of Goldendale; daughters, Teresa LaReaux of Hainesville, Maine, Deborah Olson of Monroe, Jennifer Mills of Monroe; son Steven Mills of Bremerton; brothers Scotty Mills of Pensicola, Fla., and Tony Mills of Laurel, Md.; sister Merlene Willis of Pasco; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 8, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Goldendale, with burial at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent. Columbia Hills Memorial Chapel handled arrangements.
