Ronnie Lee Bruce
Ronnie Lee Bruce died at his home in White Salmon on Jan. 16, 2009 at the age of 67.
He was born in Wagner, Okla., on Nov. 6, 1941 to Ethel (Van Brunt) and Roy Jefferson Bruce.
The family moved to the White Salmon area and Ronnie graduated from Columbia High School in 1959. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for Allied Waste and S.D.S. Ronnie loved mining for gold and worked on the BIMA in Nome, Alaska, which is one of the largest gold dredges. He was a certified diver and enjoyed going scuba diving whenever he could. Ronnie loved hunting and fishing of any kind, and especially liked spending this pastime with his sons and friends. He also raised goats.
Survivors include his wife, Audrey; sisters, Lois Stevens and Ann Clark; brother Alvon Baker; children, Randy Bruce of Belgrade, Mont., Robby Yarnell and Jeff Bruce both of White Salmon, and Debra Yarnell of Germany; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held Jan. 23, at Gardner Funeral Home in White Salmon, with interment at the White Salmon Cemetery.alla Museum, through Mountain View-Colonial DeWitt, 1551 Dalles Military Road, Walla Walla, WA. 99362.
