Jonas White
Jonas James Issac Paul Freedom Hernandez White, 25 of Goldendale, died Feb. 11, 2009.
He was born July 18, 1983 in Goldendale, to Yolanda M. (Hernandez) and Mel James White. He attended high school in The Dalles and was a member of Moose Lodge in The Dalles and Goldendale.
Jonas was a very generous, likable person; he would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He loved meeting new people and he said, "You can never have too many friends." Jonas liked dirt biking, windsurfing, and used his creativity in woodworking and bead and leather work. He especially loved the outdoors and activities such as hunting, berry picking, camping and fishing. He also liked to play chess with his uncle Julio.
He was preceded in death by his father Mel White in 1990.
Jonas is survived by his mother, Yolanda Richardson and stepfather Gerry of Dallesport; his soulmate and mother of his children, Hannah Parnell of Goldendale; his children, Skywater White, Brooke White, Ukiah James White and Ocean White all of Goldendale; and brother, Melvin Craig White of The Dalles; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A celebration of his life was held Feb. 15, at Columbia Hills Memorial Chapel in Goldendale.
