Lionel C. Krall
Lionel C. Krall, 84, of Lewiston, died May 2, 2009, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Lionel was born July 25, 1924, to Lionel and Twyla Krall, in Caldwell, Idaho. He attended school in Caldwell, graduating from Caldwell High in 1942, as a standout three-sport athlete.
He served his country in the Army during World War II. Upon returning from the service, Lionel completed his secondary education at Washington State University, where he graduated with a bachelor's degree.
Lionel received his doctorate of chiropractic in 1952 from Palmer Chiropractic College in Davenport, Iowa.
In 1953, Lionel moved to White Salmon, where he courted and married the love of his life, Eloise Gribner. He had his own chiropractic clinic in White Salmon from 1953 to 1962.
In 1962, the family moved to East Portland, where Lionel continued his chiropractic career and was active in both the Oregon and Washington boards of chiropractic. He retired in 1988.
Lionel and Eloise moved back home to Idaho in 1998, living in Lewiston until his death. His passions were fly fishing, tying flies, upland game bird hunting, and golfing. At age 72, Lionel shot his age in golf. He shared his passion for the outdoors with his family.
His son, Galen, preceded him in death in 1986.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Eloise; a son, LJay and wife Terri, of West Virginia, and son, Randy and daughter-in-law, Jennifer, of Lewiston; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
At his request, no service will be held. Remembrances may be made to the Valley Boys and Girls Club, 1021 Burrell Ave., Lewiston, ID 83501. Arrangements were under the care of Malcom's Brower-Wann Funeral Home in Lewiston.
