Ben Arthur Owens
Ben Arthur Owens, 60, died June 5, 2009, at his home in Wallace, Idaho.
He was born Dec. 26, 1948, to Ben E. and Clara (Hayden) Owens. Ben attended Goldendale area schools after which he enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1968 and served during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in 1971.
Ben relocated to the Silver Valley of Idaho in 1977, where he was employed by the Wallace Exxon Station, worked as a miner, and served as a bar tender. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
His parents preceded him in death.
Survivors include two sisters, Laura Owens, of Ritzville, and Crystal (Rusty) McEwen of Goldendale; two nieces, one nephew, and their families, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, at Mt. View Cemetery in Goldendale.
