Phyllis Ann Ball
On July 5, 2009, our beloved mother and wife Phyllis Ann Ball went to be with the Lord Jesus. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, and brother. She was married 53 years to Tony and lived in Wishram.
Phyllis was born on April 8, 1935. She had four children: Cynthia Norvell (George) from Vancouver, Glenn Ball (Jody) from Kennewick, Marcelle Haynes (Donald) from Pasco, and Phyllis Ball from Wishram. She had seven grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
She was a cancer survivor and overcame a great many obstacles. She was Miss Baby Spokane in 1935, and was in the civil air patrol. She was a member of the Wishram Community Church, the Mid Columbia Car Club, secretary for the Wishram City Council, Chaplain for the VFW Ladies auxiliary, Chaplain for the Cherry Park Grange and a member of the Eagles Lodge in The Dalles. She collected antique dolls, and loved her dogs and playing Bingo. Above all her duties she loved the Lord Jesus Christ. She served everyone all the time, even until the end. She had a special caregiver named Jimmy Mitchell, a friend of the Ball family. As our hearts ache and we will miss her, Jesus needed her more. We have hope and faith knowing we will see her again and she will be dancing, laughing, and have so much to tell us about what Heaven is like. We love you, Mom, and you will be forever in our hearts.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 11, at the Cherry Park Grange at the corner of Lambert and Old Dufur Road (for directions, call 541-296-3707 or 509-773-4646).
Interment will follow at Park Lawn Cemetery, 2565 Three Mile Road, The Dalles. Columbia Hills Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
