Jennifer Lee Greenleaf

Jennifer Lee Greenleaf, 50, died Aug. 15, 2009, in The Dalles.
She was born in Sewickley, Pa., to Lee and Cecelia (Hoffman) Caton on March 26, 1959.
She moved west at a young age and was raised on Whidbey Island, graduating from Langley High School. Jennifer went to work for the Forest Service and joined the Air Force National Guard, where she specialized in communications. She also worked for Nichols Brothers Boat Builders. On Oct. 26, 1988, she married Mark Greenleaf in Freeland, on Whidbey Island. Jennifer and Mark moved to Goldendale in 2006, and she put her love for people to good use at her work at the medical clinic.      Jennifer loved animals, especially her cats. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, camping and (lovingly) keeping Mark in line. Jennifer's greatest attribute was the goodness of her heart. She was a person of great kindness whose love of laughter will be sorely missed.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lee Jennings Caton, J., and sister, Victoria Ann Caton.
Survivors include her husband Mark of Goldendale; daughter and son-in-law Sara and Aaron Janus and grandson Ari of Seattle; mother Cecelia Leininger of Penn.; sisters Rebecca Doughty and Kelly Short and brother Chris Caton all of Penn.; and brother Douglas Caton of Whidbey Island.
Memorial services will be held on Whidbey Island Saturday, Aug. 22, and in Goldendale at a later date. Columbia Hills Memorial Chapel handled cremation arrangements.
