Betty Erickson
Betty Jane Erickson, 76, of Goldendale, died at her home, Sept. 1, 2009.
She was born March 7, 1933 in Sunnyside, the daughter of Patricia (Casper) and Harry Walker, Sr.
After graduating from Sunnyside High School, Betty moved to California in 1952. She later relocated to Klickitat and settled in Goldendale in 1972. Betty enjoyed spending time outdoors, gardening and riding horses. She also enjoyed sewing, crocheting and cooking. Her family was an extremely important part of her life and she loved being with her grandchildren and her companion Ernie Camargo.
Survivors include her children, Guy Pope (Margot) of LaPine, Ore.; LaWanna, Schroder (Steve) of Goldendale; William Pope of Yakima; Patricia Fritz of Goldendale; Cindy Erickson (David) of Goldendale; brother Dennis Elder; 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, niece Kris Melzer; and nephew Eric Walker.
She was preceded in death by brothers Richard Walker, Robert Walker and Harry Walker.
Services will be announced at a later date. Columbia Hills Memorial Chapel handled cremation arrangements.
