Robert Lee Gabbert
Robert Lee Gabbert, 74, of Centerville, died at his home on Nov. 3, 2009.
Bob was born Sept. 18, 1935 in Toppenish, to Glen and Mame (Keech) Gabbert. He attended school in Toppenish. He married Nancy Shupe, and they made their home in Centerville.
Bob worked in the mountains he loved for many years, logging and operating heavy equipment. He enjoyed riding horses, hunting, fishing, being in the woods, traveling, spending time with his many friends and family. He also enjoyed spending time at the casino.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 51 years, Nancy Gabbert. He is survived by his three daughters, Terry (Richard) Fahlenkamp, Kim (Kelly) Coons, and Hopper Ball of Goldendale; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and numerous extended family members and very special friends and their children and grandchildren, who were all like family.
A graveside service was held Nov. 5, at Spring Creek Cemetery in Goldendale. Services were officiated by his close friend of many years, Elliot Phillips, and his sister, Jo Anne Walker, of the White Swan Independent Shaker Church.
