William (Bill) J. Nelson
William (Bill) J. Nelson, born June 25, 1932 of Goldendale died at the age of 77 on Nov. 27, 2009 at OHSU hospital from complications while being treated for artery disease.
Bill was born June 25, 1932. He was raised, and educated in Racine, Wisc. He spent three and a half years in the Air Force and was honorably discharged. He later left Wisconsin and moved to Seattle, then to Montana. He was employed over the years in the heavy equipment trade and later went into woodworking as a cabinet maker. While in Montana, he met his present wife Jean. They have made Goldendale their home since 1989.
He was preceded in death by daughter Doreen Nelson.
He is survived by his wife Jean; daughters, Virginia and son-in-law Doug Ruter of Seattle, Brenda Powell and husband Mike of Spokane; sons, Rick Nelson of Bozeman, Mont. and John Nelson and wife Ramona of Seattle; son David Nelson of Kansas. He also has one grand-daughter, two grandsons, and two great-grand-children.
Family and friends will celebrate Bill's life on Dec. 12, at 2 p.m. at the family home.
