Fredrick A. Lawrence
Fredrick A. Lawrence, 39, of Goldendale, died at his home on Saturday, Dec. 26, 2009.
He was born in Goldendale on Nov. 29, 1970, to Gale and Lorraine (Shike) Lawrence. He graduated from Goldendale High School in 1990.
Fredrick worked as a laborer for the Seattle Conservation Corps and the Yakama Nation in the forestry division. Fred was a member of the Yakama Nation and enjoyed all traditional activities, hunting and fishing. He was the "Best Uncle Fred Ever."
Fred was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by five brothers, Victor R. Wilson of Wapato, John A. Lawrence of Goldendale, Nathan Shike of Billings, Mont., Emmett Washines of Toppenish, and Daniel Lawrence of Warm Springs, Ore.; five sisters, Roberta Norris of Goldendale, Kathryn Schwartz of Bremerton, Agnes, Valerie, and Stacy Snydar all of Warm Springs, Ore.
Dressing services were on Monday at the Toppenish Longhouse. Overnight services were Monday evening, with funeral services at sunrise Tuesday at the Longhouse. Interment followed at the Tweet-My Cemetery south of Toppenish off Highway 97.
