Dylon Earl Johnson
Dylon Earl Johnson, 16, died in Portland Feb, 14, 2010.
He was born in White Salmon, on May 25, 1993, to parents Dion and Shannon (Gates) Johnson.
Dylon lived most of his life in Klickitat, where he attended school and made many friends. He moved to Ridgefield, living there for three years before returning to Klickitat six months ago.
Dylon was an active kid who loved dirtbiking, bicycling, skateboarding, and camping. He also liked playing video games, being on the computer, and roughhousing with his friends. If Dylon was around, you knew Mountain Dew and sunflower seeds weren’t far away, and he would tell you again about the dream car he was going to have one day—a ’98 Toyota Supra twin turbo.
He had a great sense of humor and brought joy and happiness to those around him. Dylon was loved so much and will be dearly missed. Because Dylon was an organ donor, he helped save the lives of eight people.
He is survived by his father, Dion Johnson of Klickitat; mother and stepfather Shannon and Troy McKay of Ridgefield; brother Bryce Johnson of Ridgefield; grandparents Katherine and Douglas Johnson and Carol and Earl Gates, all of Klickitat, and Susan and Daryl McKay of Newberg, Ore.; great-grandfather BJ Kessinger; cousins D.J. and Chelci Curtis of Klickitat; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A memorial service was held Feb. 20, at the Klickitat School Gymnasium. Gardner Funeral Home handled arrangements.
