Kenneth Lewis Hansen

Kenneth Lewis Hansen died at his home in Goldendale, April 2, 2010, at the age of 65.
He was born June 12, 1944, in Salem, Ore., to Rose Mae (Davenport) and Lewis Leroy Hansen. He lived all over the Northwest and worked in construction on electrical power lines. Hansen was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and a lifetime member of IBEW Local 77.
On Aug. 9, 1966, he married Mary Ann Lester in Eugene, Ore. They moved to Goldendale in 1982, where Kenneth retired. Hansen enjoyed discussing politics and watching political shows as well as history documentaries. He liked to get outside and split wood and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Mary of Goldendale; sons Ken Hansen, Jr. of Sunnyside; Kurt Hansen of Goldendale; and William Hansen of Astoria, Ore.; sisters Angela Hansen of Lewiston, Idaho; and Wilma Hansen of Goldendale; brother Jerry Hansen who lived on the East Coast; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 17, at the Woodland Praise Barn in Goldendale. Columbia Hills Memorial Chapel handled cremation arrangements.
