Jewel K. “Judy” Kimbler
Jewel K. “Judy” Kimbler, born Aug. 20, 1926 to Warren Keel and Lily Fields Keel, of Alabama, died April 28, 2010 at the Dickinson care facility in Lyle, at the age of 84.
Jewel suffered from a long standing congestive heart condition and a number of serious strokes.
The youngest of her family, Jewel left surviving her a sister, Juanita Durham, a niece, Barbara Chapman, and nephews, Greg Riddle and Thomas Keel, all of Alabama.
Jewel and her husband, John Merryfield, were married and lived in Oakland, Calif., before coming to Klickitat, in 1975. There they purchased a home and lived there until John’s death.
After his death, she married Forest Kimbler who also preceded her in death. She continued to reside in her Klickitat home until her illness became too great that she no longer could care for herself.
We wish to thank her “true” friends who cared about her, especially Cindy Dickinson, her staff and the entire Hospice of The Gorge people who were so comforting to Jewel, especially Pat. She is now free from all the pain and may she rest in peace. We will surely miss her as we do already.
According to her wishes, there will be no services or Memorial.
