Zelda R. Lamping
Zelda R. Lamping, 93, a resident of Wishram, died June 15, 2010, at a care facility in The Dalles.
She was born in Harrisburg, Ore., on Dec. 15, 1916, the only child to Archie A. and Effie M. (Gooding) Miller. She grew up in Harrisburg and Vernonia, Ore., graduating from Vernonia High School.
Zelda married Milton John Lamping on May 26, 1938. She was a homemaker, member of Wishram Community Church and enjoyed fishing and needlework.
She is survived by her four children, Laureta Holland and her husband Jerry of Dufur, Ore., Mary Kennard and her husband Fritz of Mt. Hood, Ore., Milton Lamping and his wife Judy of Klickitat, and Carol Stevens and her husband Gerald of Cottage Grove, Ore.; eight grandchildren, Shane Namie, Rusty Namie, Deborah Arbuckle, Monique Taylor, John Lamping, Melinda Norton, Jan Loomis, and Douglas Stevens; and 18 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held June 19, at Odd Fellows Threemile Cemetery with Charles Hargrove officiating.
