Specialist Christopher Micheal Mutton

Specialist Christopher Micheal Mutton was born in Goldendale, July 11, 1989. He enlisted in the U.S. Army Jan. 8, 2008. SPC Mutton completed Basic Combat Training at Fort Jackson, S. C. He completed Advanced Individual Training at Fort Knox, Ky., where he was awarded the Military Occupational Specialty of 91A Abrams Tank System Maintenance with an Additional Skill Identifier H8 Recovery Vehicle Operator. SPC Mutton was assigned to Fox Company, 1-18 Infantry Battalion, CSD Platoon.
SPC Mutton’s military education consists of the Combat Lifesaver Course.
SPC Mutton has served as an Abrams Tank Mechanic and a Vehicle Recovery Operator with Delta Company and Fox Company within 1-18 IN.
SPC Mutton’s awards and decorations include the Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, and the Overseas Service Ribbon.
He is survived by his father Micheal Mutton; step-mother Debbie Mutton; mother Zenda Oshea; step-father James Oshea; and step-sister Ashley Smith.
Funeral services will be held at Columbia Hills Memorial Chapel in Goldendale on Friday, July 2, at 11 a.m., with graveside services following at Mt. View IOOF Cemetery.
