Julia Iva Lee Miller

     Julia Iva Lee Miller, 81, of Goldendale, died Sept. 21, 2010.
     She was born Nov. 22, 1928, in Murphy, N.C., to Fred and Icy (Hartness) Allen. Julia grew up and attended school in North Carolina. She married Verlon F. Kephart in 1946. The couple later divorced. In 1975, she married Lester Miller, in Santa Rose, Calif.
     Julia was a bookkeeper, and managed a mobile home park. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and quilting.
     She is preceded in death by her husband, Lester Miller.
     Survivors include three sons, Verlon H. Kephart, of Crescent Lake, Ore., Roger L. Kephart, of Goldendale, and Ricky L. Kephart, of Culp Creek, Ore.; five brothers, William and Loa Allen, of Klamath Falls, Ore., Don and Joyce Allen, of Cottage Grove, Ore., George and Barbara Allen, of Novato, Calif., Gene and JoAnn Allen, of Santa Clara, Calif., Floyd and Terry Allen, of Cottage Grove, Ore.; three sisters, Barbara Graves, of Cottage Grove, Ima Jean Brannon, of Center, Texas, and Trudie and Bill Prairie, of Colton, Ore.; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
     A graveside service was held Sept. 27, at Brumbaugh Cemetery in Cottage Grove, Ore. Memorial contributions may be made to Partners in Care Hospice House, 2075 NE Wyatt Ct., Bend, Ore. 97701. Smith-Lund Mills Funeral Chapel is in care of arrangements.
