Tina Jorgensen and Debi Sinor made a presentation to the congregation of the Pioneer Memorial Community Church on March 11, about their recent trip to San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico. The ladies traveled to Central Mexico last month to volunteer at Casa de los Angeles, which is a day care for children whose mothers come from the outskirts of town to sell their wares in the market place. Casa de los Angeles was started in 2000 by Donna Quathmar, who has ties to the Chicago area, as a safe haven for children who had no place to go when their mothers worked.
