Museum’s new wing will offer ‘best new view’ of Gorge

WORD ON THE WING: Maryhill Museum executive director Colleen Schafroth speaks about the museum’s new Stevenson wing at the Greater Goldendale Chamber of Commerce business luncheon last Thursday.

“It’ll be the best new view of the Columbia River Gorge,” said Colleen Schafroth, executive director of Maryhill Museum at the Greater Goldendale Chamber of Commerce business luncheon last Thursday at the Glass Onion.

“And it’s right here in Klickitat County.”

Schafroth was speaking of the view from the terrace of the newly constructed Mary and Bruce Stevenson wing of the museum which will formally open to the public on May 1. The museum as a whole opens March 15. The Stevenson wing will have grand opening dedication ceremonies on May 12 and 13.
