Bighorn could lead netters to greater State presence

STATE CONTENDER: A bigger and stronger Keith Bighorn returns for one more year of tennis at Goldendale. Bighorn finished fifth in the State tournament last year.

Goldendale’s tennis team has every reason to expect good results this year. While they lost a number of key players to graduation, they also return experienced varsity players and a couple who made it to State last year.

The Timberwolves’ best bet for State contention is Keith Bighorn, who is back after a fifth place finish at State in 2011 as a junior. Bighorn should be one of the top in ranked players in 1A singles. Bighorn is bigger and stronger and will have a booming serve for his opponents to chase.

Also returning with State experience is Dallas Smith who reached State in doubles with Kelcie Walker, who has since graduated. This year Smith will likely be paired with Madison Holb...
