Timberwolves continue their offensive onslaught to go 6-0

 


Goldendale remains unbeaten after sweeping Granger 18-0 and 17-1 last week. It was a combination of good pitching and overwhelming hitting that gave the Timberwolves their sixth straight win to open the season. It was also the Wolves’ best defensive game with no errors.

Nolin Bare and Lucas Denney combined for a two-hit shutout in the opener with Denney driving in four runs. Bare struck out seven batters for his third win of the season.

It was Tim Bartkowski and Ben Cochran pitching a one-hitter in game two. Bartkowski struck out eight batters in four innings of work for his second win. The Spartans hurt their cause with eight errors in the game.
