Food preservation series coming to Goldendale

 


A series of food preservation classes will be conducted by WSU Extension faculty and trained volunteers in the coming months. All programs will be held at the Goldendale Farm and Home Store at 225 Railroad Ave. in Goldendale. Interested persons should pre-register by calling 773-4648 or stopping by the store. All programs will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and are free.

Schedule of classes:

• May 23: drying fruits and vegetables

• June 14: jams and jellies

• June 28: canning fruits and pie fillings

• July 12: pressure canning

• July 26: pickling

• August 9: tomatoes and salsas
