Conway wins hurdles, all Wolves headed for District

 


Brady Conway broke the 16-second mark in the 110 meter hurdles for the third time this year, qualifying at the Naches Valley sub-districts in four events. Conway won both hurdle races and had top eight finishes in the long jump (a PR 19-4) and triple jump. Conway’s 15.63 was well out in front of the field in the 110 hurdles. It was also close to the 15.60 of his chief competition in this week’s Regional meet, Gage Leavitt, of Kiona-Benton.

Friday’s sub-district was a qualifier for the Regional meet with the top four competitors from the lane events and top eight from the field events and two distance races advancing to the Regionals at Benton City on May 17. Twenty-one Timberwolves...
