RIBBON CUTTING: Officials cut the ribbon at dedication services for the Seventh Day Adventist Church’s Better Living Center outside Goldendale on Bickleton Highway.

The new Better Living Center was dedicated Sunday, July 8, at the Goldendale Seventh Day Adventist Church on Bickleton Highway. The location had been under construction for more than a year with most of the work performed by volunteers.

On hand to cut the red ribbon were Goldendale Mayor Clint Baze; Seventh-day Adventist Treasurer from the Upper Columbia Conference Randy Terry; Goldendale Pastor Tim Gray; and construction manager Carlyle Mason. After the ribbon cutting, thanks were given followed by finger foods prepared by the ladies of the church.

According to officials, the intent of this building is that it will be used by many organizations, such as the Red Cross, for emergency situ...
