Power Outage
UPDATE:
Power has been restored to all locations.
Power has been backfed to the Bingen Substation from PP&L, restoring power to customers in Bingen, White Salmon and Snowden at approximately 10:30am.
The Husum, Gilmer and Glenwood Substations are still out, and there is no estimated time of restoration at this time.
A power outage Wednesday morning has cut power to White Salmon, Bingen, Glenwood, Snowden, Husum, BZ Corner, and Trout Lake.
Mike Demott, spokesman for Klickitat PUD, said the outage occurred at a Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) transmission point at the Bald Mountain substation, with the problem believed to be a down transformer. He said the PUD is currently working with Pacific Power and Light to backfeed power to the Bingen substation, which would restore power to White Salmon, Bingen, and Snowden.
There are no current estimated times for restoration of power to the remaining areas.
