Pool offers special session for triathlon swimmers

The Goldendale swimming pool is calling all Golden Man Triathlon swimmers. Are you participating in the Golden Man Triathlon? Do you need to establish your “Swim Time” for the 500 yard swim? We have a great opportunity just for you! The swimming pool will be offering two special lap swim sessions and will provide timers. The entire swimming pool will be reserved exclusively for lap swimming, on Saturday Aug. 4 and Aug. 11 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. There is no official registration for the swim, but if you could leave your name and contact information at the pool office, it will help us coordinate the timing and staffing. You are welcome to come anytime between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.! No additional fees- just pay regular admission to the pool or use your swim pass. Questions? Call the swimming pool at (509) 773-0506 or stop by and ask a lifeguard. After all, Sept. 15 is only six weeks away for the Triathlon.
The Greater Goldendale Area Chamber of Commerce will hold their Community Forum Luncheons for the month of August at the new KVH Café on Sanders Way (formerly Golden View Terrace) every Thursday at noon. The first Forum Luncheon at KVH will be this Thursday, Aug. 2.
I would personally like to thank the Goldendale Dairy Queen for promptly finding and holding my purse that I accidentally left while eating at Subway/Dairy Queen. There are many honest people in Goldendale and they need to be recognized.
