County marksmen continue to excel at State 4-H shoot

A Goldendale shooting sports club continued it’s winning ways at State when David and Grant Gunkel won the State 4-H senior and intermediate air rifle competition. Three other members of the Goldendale Sharpshooters club had top 10 finishes in competition held earlier in the year at Eatonville. The Gunkel boys were the only two members of the club competing in air rifle competition, qualifying for state by winning the county event.

Tanner Tallman placed second at State in senior compound bow archery and Tori Tallman was third in junior compound bow archery. Tanner had won the senior division at county and Tori was second.
