Goldendale Middle School orientation

GETTING TO KNOW YOU: Students at the Goldendale Middle School held their orientation Tuesday. Here, a group plays a gettting-to-you-know game in which they have to hold straws between each other’s fingers while arms are crossed. The day began with an assembly before students broke into smaller groups. The groups were facilitated by eighth graders who were specially trained for two days in leading groups. The day’s events were funded by a grant from Gear-Up, and area individuals and businesses sponsored various aspects of it; they included Justin Siebert, Susan Marlow, and Hometown Pizza.
