Cougars seek floor time for large squad

While the Lyle-Wishram football team had to suspend their season because they couldn’t field an eight man football roster, numbers aren’t the problem with the Cougar volleyball team. According to head coach, Lori Smith, we have about 24 girls out. It will present a real challenge for the coach to get that many players some significant court time, considering some of their 1B opponents don’t have a JV team.

The Cougars were off to a rough start on Saturday at the Dufur Classic Jamboree. Through their first two games against Sherman County and St. Paul, the Cougars had too many service errors and trouble figuring out the service defense.

Things got on track for their final two matches...
