Cashmere crushes Wolves 54-7

PROTECTION: Lucas Denney found time to look downfield for receivers. The Cashmere backfield left few receivers open during the game and picked off Denney twice in the first half.

When you play one of the top ranked teams in the State early in the season, you expect it to be an educational experience. What you hope it won’t become is a blow to your team’s morale. Cashmere came to Goldendale last Friday and put up a 54-7 win that looks like it could have been one of those devastating losses. But, the Goldendale coaches didn’t see it that way, once they had time to review the video. What they saw was a tough game where both teams had trouble hanging onto the ball. For Coach Don Strother, it was more of an educational experience than a blow.

I am a former Timberwolf Football Player 1964 (undefeated Yakima League Champions) come on guys nobody beats Goldendale by 47 points. Get rid of the green shoes and get tuff! Green shoes are for teams like the disgraceful Oregon Ducks.
