October Tour of the Universe at Observatory

 


Winter hours are now in effect at the Goldendale Observatory through the end of March. Visiting hours are 2 p.m. through 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., Fridays through Sundays.

For the month of October, telescope viewing under clear skies should reveal the moon from the 19th to the 28th (New Moon is on the 15th) and the planets Jupiter, Uranus and Neptune. The constellations Pisces, Andromeda and Cassiopeia will be identified and deep sky objects such as a binary star, nebula, star cluster and galaxy in the constellations will be viewed through the telescopes.
