Seven marksmen win jackets in first annual American Legion shoot

SHARPSHOOTERS: Winners the first Amercan Legion shooting contest were presented engraved jackets on Saturday. The American Legion’s Louis Leidl Post 116 held it first shooting event last May in what is planned to be an annual event. Divisions for men and women and youth in 200 and 400 yard distances with small and large bore rifles were held at the Jerry Bean Ranch north of Goldendale off Box Canyon Road.

Last Saturday the winners received Carhart jackets engraved with the event logo on the back and their name and event won on the front. The big winner was Jim Jack Davenport who was the winner of three events, 400 yard small bore, 400 yard large bore and 600 yard open events. The other winner in the men’s division was Andrew Kerns who was the 200 yard small bore winner. Kerns opted for a tro...
