WSP cautions to drive safely this Thanksgiving weekend

 


The Washington State Patrol (WSP) is asking motorists that are travelling during Thanksgiving weekend to drive safely and be prepared for the unexpected.

Motorists will see increased traffic volumes and should be alert and drive with caution. Drive at a reasonable speed taking into consideration traffic and roadway conditions. Plan for extra travel time to your destination to ensure you arrive safely, advises WSP.

Before travelling, check wiper blades, tires and fluid levels. Go to www.ws dot.wa.gov/traffic or call 1-800-695-ROAD or 1-206-DOT-HIWY for road conditions. Stock your vehicle with basic winter driving equipment, including ice scraper, brush, small shovel and jumper cables. Al...
