Vandals split at Maupin tournament

 


Klickitat’s girls’ and boys’ teams each split over the weekend at the Maupin Tournament. The girls posted an easy win in their Friday game, 61-10 over Crosshill Christian. Coach Tracie Kessinger emptied the bench with everyone scoring. Nicolle Oldfield led the team with 14 points and 13 rebounds. Lara Parsons also had 14 points and pulled down nine rebounds. KeAndra Kessinger had four steals and six assists in the win.

Game two was a loss to South Wasco County following a second quarter hiccup. The Vandals were only able to score a single bucket in the second quarter, putting them in a 24-12 hole at the half. Parsons scored 14 points and had 14 rebounds and Oldfield had 10 points an...
