KCSO rescues hunters off Soda Springs Road

 


The Klickitat County Search and Rescue (KCSR) has had some success with a couple of recent rescues. One case in particular is a contrast in preparedness with another, simultaneous case that had very different outcomes.

According to Jeff King, KCSR coordinator, two women became lost around the same time on the same day, Dec. 1. One was a 55 year old Snowden resident who was prepared for the rainy, cold weather and was equipped with a head lantern and a whistle. The other was a 60 year old Trout Lake woman who was not dressed for the conditions.
