Police pressure suspicious characters

 


The Goldendale Police have been putting added emphasis toward stopping the thefts and burglaries that have been plaguing the area in recent months. Included in the effort are night-time stops to question people who are acting suspiciously or are on a list of people who police believe are involved in illegal activities, based on credible tips.

On Jan. 29, police approached Harley Huff around midnight, having reason to believe Huff might be carrying an illegal weapon. Huff refused a pat down and ran, eventually hiding under a parked van.
