GHS students serve as pages for state senator

NEW PAGE: Will White, from Goldendale, spent a week as a page for State Sen. Curtis King. His brother Miller served as a Senate page earlier this month.

Will White, a freshman from Goldendale High School, spent the last week working as a page for the Washington State Senate at the Capitol in Olympia. And his brother Miller was also a senate page earlier in the month.

The White brothers were among 20 students who served as Senate pages for the fifth week of the 2013 legislative session.

The Senate Page Program is an opportunity for Washington students to spend a week working in the Legislature. Pages, like the White brothers, are responsible for such tasks as transporting documents between offices as well as delivering messages and mail. Pages spend time in the Senate chamber in addition to attending page school to learn about parliamenta...
