March 13: 1639—Cambridge College is renamed “Harvard.” 1865—There is something really wrong here: a bill is passed by the Confederacy approving the use of black slaves for service in the rebel army, but it does not allow for their freedom. 1997—Between 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., alleged UFOs are seen by hundreds of citizens and are named the “Phoenix lights.” They are said to have reappeared in 2007 and 2008.
