Hitting, pitching hayday at Granger

 


Last Friday was a stats day for the Goldendale Timberwolves as they completely overwhelmed Granger in a pair of shut-outs, 24-0 and 18-0. The Wolves had 33 hits in 10 innings of play while limiting the Spartans to just two hits in game one and none in game two.

As dominating as the Wolves were in game one with a combined two-hit shutout from Lucas Denney and Ben Cochran, they were even better in game two. Reggie Sargeant and Tim Bartkowski combined for a no-hitter. Sargeant gave up three walks and struck out seven batters over the first four innings. Bartkowski had a walk and three strike outs in his single inning of work.

Denney had 10 RBI on the day, going 4-6 with a double and a triple...
